How to download an Instagram video

  1. Open the post in Instagram and tap the three dots or the paper-plane icon.
  2. Choose Copy link.
  3. Paste the link above and press Download.

In posts with several photos and videos, each video is listed as its own card. Use the button under a video to download just that one.

What is supported

Post videos (instagram.com/p/...), Reels (instagram.com/reel/...) and older IGTV videos. See the Instagram Reels downloader for Reels tips. Stories require a login and are not supported for now.

Private accounts

Posts from private accounts are visible only to approved followers. We do not provide access to them; only public posts can be downloaded.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to log in to Instagram?
No. Paste the link of a public post. We never ask for your Instagram password.
Can I download Instagram Stories?
Not at the moment. Stories require an Instagram login, so they are not supported.
Will the owner know I downloaded it?
No. Downloading is independent of your Instagram account and sends no notification.
Why do I get "video not found"?
The post may be deleted, the account may be private, or the link may point to a profile. Make sure you copied the link of the post itself.
